The Ontario Lawyers’ Assistance Program (OLAP) is a CONFIDENTIAL provincial program for judges, lawyers, law students and their immediate family members. The services that OLAP provides include professional counseling, peer support, assessment, resource information and referrals to specialized programs and centres. OLAP reflects the commitment and acknowledges the responsibility of the legal profession to assist its members who experience personal or professional distress.

Our Mission

OLAP provides effective and timely assistance, based on the principles of confidentiality and voluntary access, to members of the legal profession and their families dealing with issues such as addictions, stress/burnout, work and family pressures and mental or physical health. Assistance is provided through one-on-one peer support, assessment, referrals to services, counselling, links with related services, education, and information.

All contacts with OLAP staff, counsellors, and volunteers are completely confidential.
